Manx Fell Runners organise and host several events aimed at junior runners. The most well know is the annual Junior Hill Running Championships for school years 2 to 7, currently held on Bradda Head but previously held also on Peel Hill. This event now attracts well over 300 competitors representing their schools and clubs. Full details on this and on the other events we organise are listed below.
There is also the "Killer Mile" - an uphill only race which forms part of the "No Rest for the Wicked" series in August. Juniors aged 9 and above are welcome to compete in this time trial style event.

This annual event is held at the end of September or early October each year. Currently located at Bradda Head, the 2017 event attracted over 400 enthusiastic youngsters to compete on behalf of their schools across a range of distances based on age group (school years 2 to 7).

New for 2018, there will also be series of short fell races aimed at the older juniors (U13+), utilising existing race routes, or shortened versions of. Prizes will be determined by the best 3 results across the 4 race series
Winter hill league
For older runners, there is the Winter Hill League, which is open to juniors aged 12 or above. This is a 3 race series over short 2/3 miles courses in and around the islands plantations (currently Slieau Whallian, Cringle and Glen Helen) and offers an ideal opportunity for the juniors to compete toe to toe against the senior runners.
