There will also be a short course race for the opening round of the Junior Fell League which will start shortly after the full race. This will be over a course of around 4.6kms. Juniors must be 12 years old (13 by 31st December 2024) and the route will be fully flagged and marshalled.

All runners in the short course must carry waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and integrated attached hood, hat, gloves and whistle. Senior runners can also enter the short race with the aim being to encourage newcomers to have a go at the fells in a relatively controlled environment. This shorter distance might also be of benefit to anyone on the comeback from injury. With competitors safety in mind the short race may be cancelled if weather conditions are particularly bad.

The route description and maps for both courses can be found here: - https://manxfellrunners.org/raceinfo. The main race in on the traditional course with checkpoint at the Cronk Breck Gate.

We will have marshals helping with the limited parking at Ardwhallan. There is also the Colden car parks and space alongside the reservoir. Wherever you park please do so considerately and outside the coned area.

We will be having tea and cake after the race. The Club supplies the tea and the runners supply the cake. So get your pinny on and bake something delightful for your fellow runners to enjoy.
