Snaefell and The Tholtans 2024

This race takes place on Saturday 10th February and online entries are now open here

Covering the rough and wild terrain around Snaefell, this fell race allows plenty of route choice and visits three scenic Tholtans (derelict farmsteads) in the Block Eary valley.

The full senior race is 9.5 km with 660 m of climb. The junior and senior short course is on the slopes of Snaefell and is less than 5 km.

Start time is 13.30 with registration for number collection from 12.15 until 13.15.

Ard Whallan 2024 Results

Over 140 runners took to the start line in the long course which we believe is a record entry!

Congratulations to Harry Kneen who took a maiden win in todays Ard Whallan race. I’m quite certain he is the youngest ever runner to win the race at just 18. Amber Carridge took a clear win in the ladies race.

The Stennett brothers battled it out in the short course with Lukey taking the win by a margin of just over a minute from his younger brother. Faith Teare was pick of the ladies, edging out Poppy Clayton.

Thanks to all the marshals, helpers and drinks makers and of course to Sir John Lorimer who kindly started the races and even helped check the runners through to the start line!
