RACE ENTRY

The race takes place on Easter Saturday. In 2024 this will be on the 30th March.

The race can be entered using the SI entries website link here.

The full Manx Mountain Marathon route is a point to point fell race from Ramsey in the North of the Isle of Man to Port Erin in the South The half marathon follows the second part of the same route. It is not an overnight orienteering style 'Mountain Marathon' (such as the OMM). The name is the traditional title used since 1970, when the race was first contested.

Registration for the MMM is at the St Paul`s church hall Ramsey from 7.00 until 7.45. Registration for the HMMM is in the Station Road car park in St John`s from 12.00 until 12.45.

Start –  Marathon: Market Place, Ramsey (GR. 453943) 8am. Half Marathon: Slieau Whallian back road (GR.277815, short walk from registration area) 1pm.

Transport will be provided from Port Erin and Douglas to the start in Ramsey. An email will be sent in March giving the option to sign up for transport. Bags can be transported for pick up at the finish. Water is provided at a number of check points (see race map), but competitors must carry their own cup (or bottle) as these are not provided to reduce waste.

Both races finish at the Bradda Glen Restaurant in Port Erin. The Bradda Glen Restaurant is also the venue for the prize giving which will be held between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.

Details of ferries and holiday accommodation deals can be found here. Flights are available from a number of UK airports, details of links and carriers can be found here.

This short video from Claire at Wild Ginger Running (filmed at the 50th race in 2022) really captures the race atmosphere. A second video available here from her visit in 2023 shows the terrain over the first half to St Johns.
