Held under FRA rules, waterproof whole body cover, hat and gloves, map and compass, whistle and emergency food are required.
Race Route
Start/Finish on grassed area above Bradda Glen.GR 190699.
Head to Bradda Tower, touch tower and then follow the Raad Ny Foillan coastal path towards Fleshwick.
UNMANNED check point CP1 Bradda Cairn is just off the coastal path GR 194713 (Punch).
Return to the coastal path and descend to Fleshwick. MANNED SAFETY CONTROL GR 201713. Race numbers recorded.
Left toward shore and then cross stream following Raad Ny Foillan before branching off to the right at top of wall to follow the Carnanes track to the Sloc. MANNED SAFETY CONTROL GR 215733. WATER (need own cup/bottle). Race numbers recorded.
Rejoin the Raad Ny Foillan and ascend to summit of Cronk Ny Arrey Laa. UNMANNED CP2 GR 224746. (Punch).
Descend on easterly path and go through two kissing gates crossing the Easy Cushlin green lane (GR 233747) on to Cronk Fedjag, and follow path to the Round Table Cross Roads. TWO HOUR CUT OFF at RT crossroads. MANNED SAFETY CONTROL GR 246758. Race numbers recorded.
Ascend to the summit of South Barrule. UNMANNED CP3 GR 257759. (Punch).
Descend back to the Round Table cross roads MANNED SAFETY CONTROL GR 246758. Race numbers recorded.
Traverse Cronk Fedjag and ascend to Cronk Ny Arrey Laa summit UNMANNED CP4 GR 224746 (Punch).
Descend back to Sloc picnic area MANNED SAFETY CONTROL. WATER (need own cup/bottle). Race numbers recorded.
Continue on the Raad Ny Foillan ascending Lhiattee Ny Beinnee. UNMANNED CP5 GR 212727. (Punch).
Keep on the Raad Ny Foillan path back to the Fleshwick Valley. MANNED SAFETY CONTROL GR 201713. Race numbers recorded.
Follow path back toward Bradda. Unmanned CP6 Bradda Cairn is just off the coastal path GR 194713 (Punch).
Bypass Milner’s Tower, heading directly to finish on the grassed area above Bradda Glen.
