English Schools Fell Running Championships 2022

Saturday 1st October @ Giggleswick School

After some uncertainty over the event going ahead, Giggleswick School kindly stepped in to host the championships with entries opening on Monday 5th September. The event caters for anyone in school years 7 through 13. The year 7 race is standalone whilst the other year groups are paired (Yr8/9, Yr10/11 and Yr12/13) with distances increasing with age group. There is no selection process for the event so it is open to all athletes with the aim to get as many team qualifications in each category. Isle of Man Schools finished 3rd overall last year which was the best team performance to date.

Travel should be arranged independently but accommodation has been booked in Ingleton (at the 48 bed/10 room Pinecroft Lodge, 10 miles from Giggleswick) and can be confirmed at a subsidised cost of £40 per person for 2 nights. There will be plenty of room for all athletes/parents/family and supporters but f you wish to source your own accommodation but still compete please indicate below and skip the payment stage.
