Start - Bungalow, near former TT Motor Museum (GR 398 869)

The organisers reserve the right to change any part of the course and their decision on any matter concerning the race is final. Minimum age of entry is 12 years on day of race. Held under FRA rules, waterproof whole body cover, map, compass and whistle required. Kit requirements may be relaxed on the day if conditions allow but please bring arrive with full kit.

Race Route

The race starts and finishes near to the kissing gate between the Bungalow and the former museum. From the start runners should run behind the former museum and contour in a North Easterly direction toward the Black Hut before climbing to Snaefell summit. Descend by any route to return to the start/finish area.

  • Start near to the old motor museum - grid ref (GR) 396869.
  • Head to the rear of the old museum, contouring in a north easterly direction to reach the car park at Black Hut. Manned Safety Control (1) GR. 405885
  • Ascend the intermittent path to the summit of Snaefell. Checkpoint is located at the summit triangulation point (white triangular post) Unmanned Safety Control (2) GR. 398881.
  • Continue past the rear of the cafe and descend by any route to the start finish area GR 396869
