Carraghan Fell Race

The Buchanan and Pitts sponsored Carraghan Fell Race that is to be held on Tuesday 13th May will now start and finish at Ballawyllin Beg in East Baldwin. This is due to the Injebreck Plantation being closed at present due to the problems with diseased larch trees.

The revised course will follow the route of the Baldwin Valleys race from the start at Ballawyllin Beg to the summit of Carraghan, returning the same way in reverse. Start time is 6.30pm with registration from 5.30pm. All competitors must carry full safety gear that will be checked at registration. The seventh round of the 2014 WiManx fell league will now be over a distance of 5.8km with 346m of ascent. Minimum age to enter is 15 years on race day.

Anyone wishing to recce the course can do so by gaining access via the Millenium Way from St Lukes church.

It is hoped to organise a BBQ after the race. Please car share where possible as parking will be limited.

Manx Fell Runners would like to thank the various landowners and DEFRA for all their help and support.
