New Year's Day Fell Race - St John's 2022

Entries are now open for the season’s curtain raiser at St John’s on New Years Day. In a change to previous years, entries will be taken online only and payment must also be made using the link after registration. If anyone knows of anyone unable, or unwilling, to make online payments please make them aware and offer assistance if possible. Fancy dress is encouraged but please keep it safe and carry only a waterproof jacket which may be mandatory if conditions require.

Registration will be from 12:15 to 13:15 at St John’s Football Club. There will be no access to the clubhouse except for the registration team and for toilet access - please wear masks when indoors and whilst registering. Car parking is available in the large car park adjacent to St John’s School and in the larger car park to the rear of the Tynwald Inn (not the pub car park - accessed via the railway line or via the height restricted road off the main Douglas - Peel road. Limited parking is also available at the football club.

Due to the Covid mitigations there will unfortunately be no refreshments served after the race. In line with “know before you go” advice please take a lateral flow test in the morning as although this is an outdoor event there will be in excess of 200 people gathered.

The race is again kindly sponsored by David Cretney with all race entry fees and donations going to the Salvation Army and Hospice. You will have an option to add a donation during the online race entry. Entry fee is £5 for seniors or £1 for juniors (12+) and non-refundable. Families or groups can pay together in one transaction. Parents and guardians of junior runners must complete the online CONSENT FORM prior to race day. This will be valid for 12 months and one form can cover each named child.
