Mount Karrin with a touch of Dhoo

Hard to credit, but Sunday 15th March sees the penultimate event  in the 2026 Callin Wild Manx Fell Runners league. Due to access restrictions outside of our control this race route is radically different to both of the previous Mount Karrin events.

Since this is a category A/M race full FRA prescribed safety kit is compulsory comprising of as a minimum  waterproof full body cover with an attached hood and taped seams, hat, gloves, whistle, map of the route, compass suitable for navigating using the map and emergency food.( https://files.fellrunner.org.uk/documents/2026/fra-requirements-for-runners-2026.pdf)  Please also bring and  be prepared to carry/wear a long sleeved thermal base layer should a decision be made by the RO for the need for additional kit because of weather  conditions on the day .

Use of electronic devices for navigation purposes is strictly prohibited. Such devices may be used for determining your position should you become lost but you must then retire from the event.

Vehicle parking is  limited, so please car share where possible, but space is sufficient to park on the edge of the roadway as long as on one side only. Do not park in front of access for properties. Please act on the instruction of any parking controllers.

Mount Karrin itself is private land for which we are allowed access for runners and spectators (but no  dogs) on race day. We are also able to access the area for recce purposes this coming Sunday morning, the 8th March, but please NO DOGS
