To be held on Wednesday 14th August the Colden Killer Mile will be held on the northern side of Colden Plantation. The course will be 95% uphill, there is a short slightly down hill section mid way, and will be on the main plantation fire track. The terrain allows for road or trail shoes with the ascent varying from steep to gradual.
Runners will set off individually at 30 second intervals, with positions decided by their finishing time at the top.
The organisers, Manx Fell Runners, will be encouraging as many competitors as possible to pre enter by e-mailing [email protected] by Saturday 10th August.
An entry list giving each individuals starting time will then be available on manxfellrunners.org, www.sportsdesk.im/NRFTW and the Manx Fell Runners page on facebook by Monday 12th August. Starting times will be decided by lottery. Entries will also be taken on the day but runners will have to slot in on whatever starting times are still available. Maximum entry is 120 competitors. Entry fee, which will be £3.00, payable at registration on race day. No prizes will be awarded but all entry fees will be donated to a local charity.
Minimum age for entry is 12 years on day of race.
The race will be run under FRA rules but due to it being classified as a B category event no safety gear will be required.
Directions to get to the Colden Killer Mile course are as follows:

Proceed for about a mile then right on to the B22 West Baldwin Road at Mount Rule. Follow the B22 until your reach Injebreck Reservoir which will be on your right, about 2.5miles.
