Narradale

Saturday 7th November sees the next attempt 🤞 at running a Callin Wild MFR 26/27 league race which will be starting and finishing at Sulby Claddagh. Race due to start at 10.30 with registration from 09.30.

This well established category A/long race comprises a mixture of open fell requiring navigation skills combined with some green lane to negotiate on the way out and back. Full course details can be found at : https://manxfellrunners.org/narradale.

Full safety kit will be required and will be checked at registration. This must comprise of, as a minimum, waterproof jacket with attached hood and  waterproof over trousers, both with fully taped seams, hat, gloves, whistle, emergency food, map of the course ( at the link above) and a compass suitable to use for navigation using the map i.e. NOT a button type compass. Additionally a long sleeved base layer is required, either worn or kept in a dry bag with your kit.

Please note that there are cut off times in place at the Bungalow CP5 and at the East Mountain Gate CP6 and due to failing light you need to aim to be  completing the course within  4 1/2 hours. Also CP4 & CP 5 can be visited in either order.  The punch for CP4 is unlikely to be at the summit trig point of Snaefell due to ongoing works and we will advise its mystery location, when known,  in a late post on here next week and  at the pre race  brief.

The entry link is posted below. For those already entered en block you do not need to enter again.
