A record entry of 98 runners tackled Wednesday's Killer Mile, held over a new course covering the slopes of Sky Hill. The tough course, designed by Chris Kirk, lived up to it's name but seemed to be very well received by the competitors.

Race victory went to visiting runner and NRFTW competitor Daryl Hibberd of Leeds based Valley Striders AC. Fast improving Jack Okell (Manx Harriers) was runner up just 4 seconds behind with the same margin separating mile specialist and club mate Steven Garrett in 3rd.

It was great to see a good turnout of juniors too - Alex Bell (U18) was the pick finishing in an excellent 7th overall ahead of recent track star Rhys Owen (U16), brother Ieuan (U14) and Corbyn Schade (U12). Aiden Myers of Northern AC was quickest under 10.

Thanks to all the timekeepers, marshalls and landowners, particularly Silly Moos who allowed the use of their field for parking. Congratulations to Chris Kirk and his team for designing and maintaining the course.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the tough Snaefell race on Wednesday evening. Good conditions underfoot but a strong south westerly wind was a bit of a niggle and the mist was up and down all evening reducing visibility in places. It was certainly a tad breezy on the summit of Clagh Ouyr! I am pretty sure we had a record entry which was pleasing and there seemed to be a good number of new runners. Big thanks to league sponsor Callin Wild and race sponsor Sean Craig. Also thanks to all our excellent helpers for a great job and to landowners for access. Finally thanks to Nigel for the use of the MER Station waiting room for registration (Richie Stevenson)
