Many thanks to all the helpers for a great job and to DEFA for access. A big thank you to John and all the folk at Ballacowin and Glen Ruy Farms for their superb support and hospitality. A special thanks to young David who did a splendid job of starting the race.

Ellan Vannin Pre Entry

Pre Entry is now open for the Ellan Vannin race on Sunday 26th March.  The race will be run in the same direction as last time (2015) - i.e. ascending Slieau Dhoo first and returning via Slieau Curn as per the route description at http://manxfellrunners.org/ellan-vannin

Note that there is no early start for this race and all runners will start together at 10am. Additionally, there will be a cut off time of 3hrs 30mins (1:30pm) at Brandywell safety control (Grid Ref 343866) - runners who do not reach this checkpoint by this time will be timed out and asked to remove their number and return via the quickest route back to the finish.

The decision to abolish the early start option (for all races, except the Manx Mountain Marathon) was taken to bring our races in line with UK FRA races and their safety guidelines, and in the interests of the marshals and timekeepers.

ENTRY ON THE DAY ONLY NOW (ONLINE REGSITRATION CLOSED)
